Ask a random group of rock fans what comes to mind when you mention the year 1978 and you’ll hear a “whole lotta” Zeppelin, Boston, Styx, Aerosmith, and Journey….

1988? How 'bout Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Scorpions, Bon Jovi and, yeah, Journey….

1998? Ok Journey, but, by and large, the music scene had become a rather confused situation leaving many bands struggling to find their place on the mainstream map and just as many frustrated fans in it’s wake. For Smokin founder, David Krol, the answer to the confusion wasn’t a difficult one and the formation of a band that remains one of the most popular tribute bands of the Southeastern U.S. emerged onto the music scene with one goal in mind: to deliver the very best performance of the very best music from the very best era of rock n’ roll: the arena rock era. Musically and visually employing all the latest in intelligent lighting and sound, Smokin delivers big sound, big drums, big keys and five-part harmonies produced by a unique combination of musicians who, in addition to their individual talents, also offer lead vocal ability with every song performed in its original key, a combination accomplished by very few on the tribute circuit today. Smokin is also proud to welcome concert violinist Carter Owen to the line-up allowing an expanded song list to include additional classics rarely offered by tribute bands.
